I started practicing yoga over 20 years ago, and received my 300 RYT Yoga Certificate in 2014. The certification I received was specifically for Vinyasa Flow, which is linking breath, (or prana), to movement, but I’ve also apprenticed in various forms of Hatha Yoga. As someone who was diagnosed with ADD at a young age, I deeply understand how my mind follows my body, and my body follows my mind. Whether we’re working up a sweat or carving out space for the mind to focus inward, the type of yoga I teach is intentional - meant to provide intimate time with ourselves to heal, overcome, empower, and strengthen.
Just like playing the flute, yoga requires a deep relationship with breath. As in life, sometimes it’s necessary to breathe through the greatest times, and the worst. My classes heavily focus on victorious breath, also known as pranayama.
